26、This year, the Women's Volleyball World Cup has been played across different cities, and Team China had training sessions(时段)even on traveling days when some other teams chose to rest up after a tiring flight. "Coach Lang focuses on details of the technique(方法)in the training sessions, and I feel our team has become more balanced." Captain Zhu Ting said. This firm(坚定的)strategy explains how China managed to turn the table against the United States at the World Cup in 2014.

Volleyball is a team sport and behind the on-court team, there is always a supportive coaching team and staff. Lai was one of the members, who was both vice director of China's Volleyball Management Center and assistant coach. Apart from coordinating work, she also has to do chores. During Rio 2016, return 16 Goah Yuan Lingxi headed for the arena (竞技场)at 6 am every day to film the matches and would return to the Olympic Village at 2 am to do other important things. 27、   Since the age of three, Chelsie Hill had dreamed of becoming a dancer. That dream nearly ended one night in 2010. Hill was in a car accident that put her in hospital for 51 days and left her paralyzed (瘫痪的). For most people, that would have destroyed any hope of a dancing career. For Hill, it was the beginning. Far from being a barrier (障碍), her wheelchair emboldened her. “I wanted to prove to my community — and to myself — that I was still ‘normal’,” she told Teen Vogue.

“Normal” for her meant dancing. With half of her body taken away, Hill had to move it with hands. It took a lot of learning and patience, but she still made it in her wheelchair with her non-disabled high school dance team.

After graduation from high school in California, Hill wanted to expand (扩展) her dance network to include women like her. She met online the women who had suffered various back injuries but shared the same determination with her.

Hoping to reach more people in a larger city and break down the false belief of wheelchair users, Hill moved to Los Angeles in 2014, formed a team of dancers with disabilities and named it the Rollettes. As she always believes, dancing on wheels can be just as good as foot-based dance.

In disabled dance competitions, all dancers from her team gave great performances and they were having fun.

Hill has achieved what many of us never will: her childhood dream. Every year she holds a dance camp for wheelchair users of all ages and abilities with an eye to helping them find their confidence. But the Rollettes has helped her find something else just as satisfying. In 2019,over 173 women from ten countries attended the Rolettes Experience. For most of these women, it was the first time they had felt they belonged .Edna Serrano told a reporter that being part of the Rollettes team challenged her to be more independent. “It even gives me the courage to take up driving.” she said.

28、   I first began experiencing anxiety and depression (抑郁) at the age of 14, after being bullied (欺凌) at school for years. While at first anxiety and depression would came and go, it eventually became a constant part of my life.

I was so eager to find the solution to overcoming my anxiety and depression that I tried everything from when I in college to graduate school: mood-changing medication (药物), special teas, yoga, anything I read about in books, and advice given by doctors. Despite this, I still felt I hadn’t even come close to managing the problem.

But one afternoon, my eyes fell upon an article in a magazine I was reading the talked about how dogs were able to help people with anxiety and depression. The very next day, I decide to get a dog—a corgi. When I brought my little corgi. Buddy, home, I didn’t realize how much he would change my life.

Once the “puppy excitement” went away, my anxiety and depression came back as usual. One morning, I woke up with those familiar feeling again. I didn’t want to get out of bed. I turned to pull the covers back over my head and gave up. That’s when I saw Buddy.

Buddy started jumping all over me, licking my face, letting me know that it was time to go outside. It was as if he were saying, “There’s no time to be sad, the world is amazing!” And for the first time in my life, my life was changing. I really was a new person. This was my new beginning.

It’s been more than a year since that day, and I’ve never spent another morning unable to get out of bed. I’ve not cried myself to sleep or spent my days stuck with fear and regret. Sure, I still have days when I feel sad or anxious. But with Buddy, my best friend, by my side, I’ve finally learned how to manage these feelings and emotions.

29、As a child, there was nothing I liked better than Sunday afternoons at my grandfather’s farm in western Pennsylvania. Surrounded by miles of winding stone walls, the house and field provided endless hours of fun for a city kid like me.

Since my first visit to the farm, I had wanted more than anything to be allowed to climb the stone walls surrounding the houses. My parents would never agree because the walls were so old that some stones were loose and falling. However, my idea to climb across those walls grew so strong that finally I had all my courage to enter the living room, where the adults had gathered after Sunday dinner.

“I want to climb the stone walls.” I said. “Heavens, no! You’ll hurt yourself!” The response was just as I’d expected. But before I left the room, I was stopped by my grandfather’s loud voice. “Now hold on just a minute.”I heard him say. “Let the boy climb the stone walls. He has to learn to do things for himself.”

“Go,” he said to me, “and come and see me when you get back. ”For the next two and a half hours I climbed those old walls—and had the time of my life. Later I met with my grandfather to tell him about my adventures. I’ll never forget what he said. “Fred,” he said, smiling, “you made this day a special day just by being yourself. Always remember, there’s only one person in this whole world like you, and I like you exactly as you are.”

Many years have passed since then, and today I host the television program Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood, seen by millions of children throughout America. There have been changes over the years, but one thing remains the same: my message to children at the end of almost every visit. ”There’s only one person in this whole world like you,“ the kids will hear me say, ”and people can like you exactly as you are.
